hello,
i’m amy
By now, you have probably explored enough of my website to get a surface level idea of who I am, but if you are still curious, you can scroll down and read my full biography below.
my story
how god has moved in my life to carry me through life’s most trying moments
Okay, so you’re probably wondering why I’m such a borderline Jesus freak — and honestly, I get it. Let me tell you the whole story.
I asked Jesus into my heart when I was around ten years old. I say “around” because I don’t remember the exact age — but I do remember how it felt. I was young, curious, and already hungry to know more about God. My mom is a devoted Catholic, and she did such a beautiful job laying a foundation of faith for me. But once I got my very first Bible, something inside me woke up. I had so many questions — deep, soul-level questions — that the Catholic church just didn’t seem to have answers for.
As I got older, that curiosity didn’t go away. If anything, it grew stronger. I wanted to know God for myself — not just what someone told me about Him. So I started visiting different churches and exploring different denominations, just trying to find where I belonged.
Then came the summer of 2018 — the summer everything changed. I met my (now) husband, and he invited me to his church, First Southern Baptist.
The moment I walked through those doors, I can’t even explain it…
…..it just felt right. It felt like home. Like I’d finally found the place God had been leading me to all along. That fall, I officially joined FSBC, and it’s been such a beautiful journey ever since — learning, growing, serving, teaching, and finding community in the most authentic way.
Fast forward a few years to April 2022 — the day our sweet baby girl came into the world. It was through an emergency C-section, and let me tell you… that experience shook me, stretched me, and showed me God’s faithfulness in ways I’ll never forget. (It’s a big part of my testimony, so if you want the full story, you can read about it on the blog.)
Then in January 2025, God led me into a brand-new season. I enrolled at Liberty University as an online student to pursue my bachelor’s degree in religion, with a focus on Disability Ministry — something that’s so close to my heart.
So yeah… that’s how I became this Jesus-loving, Bible-nerding, all-in believer you see today. I’ve seen too much of His goodness not to talk about it. And honestly? I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything.
